Based on the extensive analysis of the Harriston Downtown Market Analysis Information the Harriston DRC has created an action plan and market position statement, which is as follows: Harriston's Downtown is located at the intersection of two major highways providing access to thousands of customers every day. With a strong service and convenience cluster the downtown is able to meet the needs of local residents and tourists. Downtown Harriston is centred on the Maitland River and is home to a wealth of cultural assets including the Heritage Town Hall Theatre and Carnegie Library, which houses a heritage art gallery.
